“Christian faith is not an irrational leap. Examined objectively, the claims of the Bible are rational propositions well supported by reason and evidence.” -- Charles Colson

Have you ever felt like your faith was an irrational leap of faith? Have you ever wondered about the existence of God or the veracity of Christianity? Or do you know others that have such type of questions, but you do not feel capable of answering these tough questions? If so, apologetics may be for you. In apologetics we will be answering these types of questions for our own edification and also to answer questions that others may have about Christianity. We will be covering topics such as the existence of God, creationism vs. evolution, proving the Gospel and post-modernism throughout the semester through lectures, articles, discussions, and the Bible.

Understanding the Bible Seminar
Instructor: Pastor KJ Kim and Charles Kim
Saturdays 7-9PM | Start Date: February 11 | 319 Greg
Contact: charleskim80 at gmail dot com

“If I were the devil,” writes J.I. Packer, “one of my first aims would be to stop folks from digging into the Bible. Knowing that it is the Word of God teaching men to know and love and serve the God of the Word, I should do all I could to surround
it with the spiritual equivalent of pits, thorn hedges, and man traps, to frighten people off.” Perhaps you’ve felt caught in some of these very traps, as you attempt to study God’s Word: “How does this passage have any relevance to my life?” How do I know when the Bible is speaking literally or figuratively? Through lectures, discussions, homework, and quizzes, UBS will teach you the basic skills you need for effective Bible Study. Whether a new Christian or an advanced Bible student, this seminar will be of help to you.

The Global Missionary Workforce
Instructor: Steve Choi and JT Park
Saturdays 7-9PM | Start Date: TBD | 311 Greg
Contact: stevechoi78 at yahoo dot com

What does missions look like in today’s global world? Can I work full time in the marketplace and still be involved in missions? How? If you are seeking answers to any of these questions we invite you to join us as we explore the many ways God is working around the world using ordinary people and their skills, interests and/or professions. This four week class will cover current missionary movements and how every Christian, whether called to go or stay, can use their interests, skills, and/or professions for the global mission mandate.
